Christmas Parties and Early Dismissal Christmas parties will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19. First Lunch will start at 11:00 a.m. and Second Lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. due to the parties. School will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. for Christmas Break.

AR Bowling Reward Party The Bowling Party for students who made their 1st and 2nd quarter AR point and average percent correct goals will be held on Thursday, December 18. Students have until the end of the day on Monday, December 15 to make their AR goals. 1st & 2nd grade will bowl in the morning and 3rd & 4th grade will bowl in the afternoon. Students must wear soft soled shoes to bowl. Stocking feet and hard soled shoes like boots or dress shoes are not allowed. A note will be sent home with students who made their goals.

K-4 Pictures with Santa Santa will be at Carterville Elementary on Tuesday, December 16 during the morning to take pictures and visit with our K-4 students.

1st Grade Program First graders will perform their Christmas program on Monday, December 15 in the multi-purpose room. The school performance will be at 2:00 p.m. and the family performance is at 6:00 p.m.

No Shorts, Capri Pants, or Flip Flops starting November 1 November 1 through March 31, students cannot wear shorts, capri pants, or flip flops to school. If these items are worn during this time, parents will be called to bring appropriate clothing.

Student Sickness Policy If your child is sick, please keep them home to rest and recover. School Policy: A child should NOT attend school if they have any of the following: 1) a temperature of 100 degrees F or above. The child must be fever free for 24 hours without the aid of medication before returning to school. 2) vomiting or diarrhea. It must be 24 hours before returning to school. 3) an unidentifiable rash that has not been evaluated by the doctor. 4) one or both eyes are red, itching, and/or have crust on eyelids.
