Carterville Elementary

This year, Carterville Elementary kicked off a new club called the Rock Star Readers Club. Students are using Reader Boards that contain age appropriate goals and are working through 4 levels to become Elite Rock Star readers. These students have already reached the first level and are now Rock Star Readers!

Each student has an individual Rock Star Reader Board that is updated weekly by library staff. As students complete tasks on their boards, library staff add stars to the boxes. The more stars a student receives, the higher level he/she reaches. There are 4 levels in all. As students reach each level, they get their picture taken to display throughout the school. Once students reach Level 4, they become  Elite Rock Star Readers and receive a t-shirt, as well as other fun prizes.
